In Love with Tutorials

I think tutorials are one of my favorite uses of the Internet.

Not only can people share their great ideas, they can give me step by step instructions of how to do it myself!

Here are some pictures of some fabric Easter eggs I made using this tutorial. I made a few in bright colors, but mostly in more subdued browns, barn reds, ecrus, blues. The latter matched perfectly with my two little wheelbarrow bunnies who needed an egg to carry.

Now...enough crafting and back to studying...exam to take in two days!

Another Give-Away

Go visit my friend Janice at her blog for a fantastic give-away. I spent all day yesterday with Janice in Jacksonville at a fabric store...she has such a good eye for putting fabric together. Now I have some awesome material for three quilts...but more on that in another blog (with pictures!)

Freshly Squeezed

A few of the benefits of our (usually) mild winter weather is the delicious citrus we get to enjoy. Here the kids are after picking grapefruit off the tree for breakfast (so yummy...)

And fresh-squeezed orange juice has got to be one of our favorite things about living in Florida! One of Brady's early morning teachers left a bag of Honeybell oranges on his car after he'd visited a seminary class. These are as good as anything you've ever tasted and we guard them like gold around here. Brady squeezed them for juice, along with some other oranges from a neighbor's tree, and we savored every swallow.

It doesn't get much better than this. And boy does it make it hard to go back to concentrate!
