Homemade Ice Cream

Here's a fun recipe for homemade ice cream in a bag. Courtney made it at a friend's house, then we all made it at our house the next day. It's COLD to make - you'll notice Meghann wearing gloves because it was just too cold to handle with bare hands!

Recipe:
2 T. sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
1 c. milk
6 T. salt (we used rock salt)
1 pint-size ziplock bag
1 gallon size ziplock bag
ice

Fill gallon bag half full with ice and salt and seal. Pour sugar, vanilla and milk inside pint-size bag. Put pint size bag into the gallong bag, shake 5-7 minutes and enjoy.

you can buy gloves in Florida? :)

I saw hundreds of pairs of gloves on clearance the other day at Target for 68 cents (it was a 2-pack of gloves too!) so they're not too popular, obviously. But we wear them!

Does it make good ice cream?

It actually tastes pretty good. You could add something to make it more flavorful. Courtney said they added crushed candy canes, I was thinking about chocolate chips, m&m's something like that.
